Dorothy F. Easley is a distinguished attorney based in Miami, Florida. An award winning board certified appellate specialist with a diverse range of professional and legal experience, Easley has been a leading national figure in appellate law over the course of her twenty-plus year career. She currently serves as the President and Supervising Attorney of the law firm Easley Appellate Practice, PLLC where her appellate practice focuses on commercial law, intellectual property appeals, family law, health law, and business torts, among many other areas. John is an experienced litigator, specializing in high conflict or complex cases. He primarily takes cases in Dakota and Scott Counties. John represents clients in dissolution of marriage, paternity, custody, maintenance and child support proceedings. He has significant experience in the Court of Appeals. John is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the First District Bar Association, where he is past President and currently serves on the District Ethics Committee. He is also a member of the Dakota County Bar Association, where he serves on the Board of Directors and is the past President. Numerous recognitions have been awarded to John such as the Dakota County Heroes Award, Super Lawyer, the BV-distinguished rating, and Who’s Who in Family Law. Wanda Fowler was a Justice on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals for almost 14 years before joining Wright Close & Barger, LLP as a partner. While on the Court she authored approximately 1900 opinions and decided approximately 3,800 more cases. In 2001, the other members of the Court elected her Acting Chief Justice for five months pending an appointment of a new chief justice and, in 2003, the Houston Chapter of the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists voted her Appellate Judge of the Year. She is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education Seminars. Before joining the Court, Ms. Fowler was a commercial litigator in private practice, and was in-house legal counsel for GTE Mobilnet. Ms. Fowler is an American Arbitration Association (AAA) panelist and presides over arbitrations involving complex commercial disputes, insurance coverage matters, and construction cases. She has been appointed as a neutral or non-neutral arbitrator on a variety of matters. In addition, she has served as a mediator on a variety of litigation cases involving commercial transactions, energy law, insurance coverage, and personal injury claims.

Her primary practice areas include appeals and civil litigation. Ms. Gilbert is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law. Ms. Gilbert also has a Masters in Business Administration, with honors, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy. Ms. Gilbert was a member of the appellate unit and litigation department of a large regional law firm, with an emphasis on trial briefing, post-judgment motions, and appeals. Ms. Gilbert also has experience in matters dealing with consumer protection statutes, home mortgage litigation and foreclosure in both state and federal court. Ms. Gilbert is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Nevada and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Gilbert has argued multiple times before the Nevada Supreme Court on issues related to NRS Chapter 116, including the landmark case, SFR Investments Pool 1, LLC v. U.S. Bank, N.A., 130 Nev. Adv. Op. 75, 334 P.3d 402 (Sept. 18, 2014). Arguing on behalf of appellants, many of Ms. Gilbert’s other arguments resulted in reversals and remands for the client. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Appellate Litigation Group of the State Bar of Nevada.
