Founding partner, Earl I. Higgs, Jr., is a Miami, Florida native and graduate of the University of Florida, where he walked-on as a running back for Florida Gator Football Team. As a member of the Gator Football team he was an SEC Academic All-American during his time with the team. While in law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Earl participated in a study abroad program at the University of Montpellier, in Montpellier, France and was a member of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. After graduating, Earl gained invaluable legal experience practicing workers’ compensation and later worked for one of the largest plaintiff’s firms in the country. For close to 20 years, Earl has devoted his practice to insurance claims and appellate cases. He has represented thousands of businesses and homeowners against insurance companies and has handled a multitude of cases involving property damage, business interruption, hurricane damage, and sinkhole claims. Following Hurricanes Charlie, Frances and Jean, Earl represented hundreds of businesses and homeowners whose claims were denied, delayed or unfairly compensated. He successfully obtained close to a million dollars on behalf of his clients for damages from those hurricanes and continues fighting for clients affected by more recent storms.

Martin is an experienced litigator who has dedicated his legal career to representing hospitals and healthcare providers in their disputes involving Michigan’s No-Fault Act. He has found success representing his clients in the state trial courts, obtaining money judgments against auto insurers with interest and attorney fees being awarded. Additionally, he has obtained favorable rulings in the Michigan Court of Appeals. Martin received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He graduated from Michigan State University-College of Law in 2011, cum laude. During law school, he represented indigent families of the greater Lansing area in housing law disputes as a Graduate Assistant in the MSU-College of Law’s Housing Law Clinic. He is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice.
