Aaron Freiwald Civil Litigation www.freiwaldlaw.com

For me, the courtroom is the place where David really can stand up to Goliath. My clients, individuals and their families, have gone up against the largest health systems, the biggest insurance companies, the most bad-ass chemical company, the richest pharmaceutical company, and even the United States government. After college, I started as a foreign correspondent and then an investigative journalist. For each article, I would conduct interviews and often review reams of documents. Often, my stories were about those in powerful positions who had misused those positions. Those skills gave me a taste for cross-examination. For my final project as a journalist, I wrote a historical account of the Nazi war crimes trials in Germany, told through the story of one of the last major Nazi figures to stand trial. I attended the trial in Stuttgart, Germany and listened to the stories of Holocaust survivors who testified to the crimes the Nazi officer had committed. I saw just how much the law matters, how the law really is a means to a measure of justice. When my book manuscript was completed and off to the publisher, I turned to the law myself. I found a way to channel my experiences and skills ? writing, investigating, questioning, challenging ? so that I, too, could help people achieve a measure of justice. The cases I take often involve complex issues of medicine and science. A medical procedure that went bad. A devastating medication error that caused a brain or spinal cord injury. A toxic exposure that caused cancer. A product or drug that was defective and caused a serious loss or permanent injury. Of course, the goal is to obtain maximum compensation for the serious wrongs my clients have suffered. We have won millions of dollars in jury verdicts and have obtained millions more in settlements to achieve that goal. The goal also has to be to help the client achieve a measure of justice, to restore dignity and respect. From the first meeting I have with a new client until the moment that person?s case is completely resolved, I always try to remember the road that led me to where I am and the reasons I do what I do.

Aaron J. Freiwald (A born fighter) My experience with Attorney Freiwald started after my husband had neck surgery & coded the next day & the slow response from the Rapid Response Team therefore led him to suffer an anoxic brain injury figuring he went about 35 min without significant oxygen to the brain due to a fluid buildup in his throat due to doctor feeling my husband didn't need a drainage tube after surgery. He thus suffered brain damage, left a quadriplegic, incontinence & very major breathing issues where he could stop breathing almost at any time due to the anoxic brain injury and has spent & will spend the rest of his life in a nursing home. He has almost passed on me several times by being found blue & has to wear a bi-pap to help him start breathing again. So far the bi-pap has worked but there may be someday where he is not found when he is blue & may not make it, it's the chance we have been taking. I had family members telling me this should be a medical malpractice lawsuit against the doctor & I thought so myself so I contacted several lawyers that I was told were good attorney's up where I live but nobody would take my case seriously which made me really frustrated seeing what my husband's life had turned into after neck surgery gone wrong. Well PA has a 2 year statute for medical malpractice so with 2 months to go on the statute I thought I needed to look for an attorney out of my area so I looked up different attorney's in the Philly area looking at their ratings & thought I would give Aaron Freiwald a shot because of his credentials were outstanding. With 2 months to go he dug into my case & saw almost right away, YES, we most definitely had a medical malpractice lawsuit on our hands. He work diligently to get all the papers filed in the courts with 1 month to go on the statute. He collected thousands of paperwork from the hospitals, doctors notes, nurses notes and anything else to come up with a good case to protect my husband for what he had gone thru. When came time for the depositions I attended all and they were very nerve-wracking but well worth it just the experience alone I was taught alot about the medical field & problems that could arise. As time went on and the case was coming close to going to court, he went back & forth with the doctors lawyers & hospital lawyers which were a lot for their various different clients they were representing vs just Aaron & me. Aaron fought like a born fighter thru the depositions & than reaching a decent out of court settlement to protect my husband & family. After 4 years, my husband has what we call a "Quality of Life" settlement since he is not healthy enough to do a lot outside the nursing home. He can only stand up to 4 hours being out than he has troubles & gets very exhausted & tired. 2015 was our first of our outings which seemed like a new life for the both of us going to restaurants, LV Iron Pigs baseball games, family picnics, parties, 1st holiday home in 5 years for Thanksgiving & the best "Quality of Life" outing was Renewing our Vows for being married 30 years. To see the priceless look on my husband's face going down the isle & our daughter giving us away was a memory I will never forget especially after loosing him so many times from when this happened back in 2011. Life has sure has it's ups & downs but when you love your spouse the way I do & the love we have for each other you stick together thru the good times & the bad times. With his new "Quality of Life" living, although a more drastic change than before but I would not give my new life with my husband up for the world. He has meant the world to me back before 2011 but when something like this happens you look at life at a whole different perspective and treasure what you got & the fact he is still with us. Thanks Aaron Freiwald for your born-fighter demeanor making our life much more richer & our "Quality of Life Outings" such a pleasure in our new life together.
