Special Education Law and Estate Planning
Mr. Dayan’s interest in special education was sparked by his research on autism as an undergraduate student. He later became involved in coordinating fundraising efforts directed toward the education of individuals with autism. During law school, Mr. Dayan was involved in the Autism Legislation Project, an endeavor whose mission was to build awareness about existing autism legislation and to advocate for the enactment of more such laws.
Mr. Dayan began his legal career as an associate at a law firm known for its work in the area of special education law, where he represented families whose children had a variety of special needs. Mr. Dayan moved on from that position in 2009 to pursue his dream of establishing his own law practice. His law practice is currently based in downtown Manhattan, focusing on representing individuals with a wide range of special needs.
Mr. Dayan graduated from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he was a published member of the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law. Prior to that, he graduated summa cum laude from Baruch College where he was a Hertog Scholar and a member of the first graduating class of the Macaulay Honors College. He is admitted to practice law in New York as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
