Area of Practice: Consumer Protection
Alex R. Straus has represented consumers, labor unions, and municipalities throughout the United States in practice areas ranging from complex tort and personal injury to antitrust and securities litigation. In 2013, he authored an amicus curiae brief filed in the Supreme Court of the United States in support of a shipyard worker who died as a result of asbestos exposure and, in 2024, argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Straus has also authored multiple non-fiction books and wrote more than 100 nationally published feature-length magazine articles before becoming an attorney in 2010. Mr. Straus is licensed to practice law in California, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, and South Carolina.
