Andrew C. Sigerson Elder Law

Andrew, a lifelong resident of Omaha, Nebraska, has built an impressive career in estate planning. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Economics, from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1993. During his time at the university, he was actively involved in Mortar Board and held the esteemed position of Student Body President/Student Regent in 1992. Andrew furthered his education by obtaining his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1996, where he also participated in Moot Court. Additionally, he has achieved the Credited Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation.

For over 25 years, Andrew has been dedicated to assisting clients with their estate planning needs. He is a member of esteemed organizations such as the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, Wealth Counsel, and Elder Counsel. Through these affiliations, Andrew has successfully guided clients through various stages of estate and business planning, from foundational needs to complex wealth transfer and asset protection strategies. He is also a co-founder and owner of Legacy Design Strategies, L.L.C., a prominent national planning firm. Andrew previously served as a board member with the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, showcasing his commitment to professional excellence in his field.

Andrew firmly believes that individuals are more than their financial assets and believes that estate planning should be tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. He takes great joy in establishing enduring relationships with his clients that span years and generations.

As an authority in his field, Andrew frequently shares his expertise through speaking engagements and publications. He has contributed to various publications, including "The Practice – Creating, Growing and Maintaining a Successful Client-Centered Estate and Business Planning Law Firm" (2003), "The Complete Guide to Estate & Financial Planning in Turbulent Times" (2010, 2012, and 2014), "Being in Business is a Funny Thing – Getting Out is Not!" (2011), "Your Wealth, Your Family, Your Legacy" (2018), and "The Family Estate Planning & Elder Law Guide" (2019). Andrew has also delivered talks at prominent organizations such as the Society of Financial Services Professionals, the Financial Planners Association of Nebraska, and the Protective Life Insurance National Sales Conference.

Throughout his career, Andrew has been dedicated to educating fellow professionals in the realm of estate and business planning. He has conducted numerous speaking engagements at national events, including those held in Las Vegas (2003), Denver (2004), Scottsdale (2005), Indianapolis (2006, 2008, and 2009-2013), and Tucson (2015), where he led a two-day workshop on Family Limited Partnerships. In 2022, Andrew had the honor of speaking at the Omaha Estate Planning Council and the Nebraska Bar Association.

Outside of his legal career, Andrew has an impressive track record of public service. He previously served as a White House Intern and a Board Member of the Presidentially Appointed Selective Service Commission. Andrew is deeply involved in his community and currently serves on the Boards of the Boy Scouts, Omaha Performing Arts, and Camp Rivercrest. He was recently elected Chair of the Omaha Estate Planning Council. Andrew shares his life with his wife, Chrystal, and they are proud parents to four children.
