I was overwhelmed and at a loss when I had to put my Mother in a locked-down memory care assisted living facility due to her dementia. I struggled on how to manage and protect her estate to ensure she would have enough to sustain the expensive rent and nursing care long-term. When we first met with Brandon it was a very easy comfortable conversation. He’s a very down to earth and a passionate family person. He always puts his client first – my Mother, not me. He goes to visit her, talk with her and get to know her better. He understands the special attention and patience that is needed when working with dementia patients. To also ease the transition of moving my Mother from her home, Brandon also provided a Patient Advocate to review the facility and periodic case management reviews—an absolute necessity. Once he took the time to fully understand our specific needs, he provided us with well-planned detailed options to review. Brandon always makes sure we fully understand each option before we move forward with a decision, never rushing us. Brandon has helped us move funds to appropriate annuities, set up a trust, reviewed and changed some legal documents and helped us apply for VA benefits as a surviving spouse. This has helped us create a set income stream to pay the high monthly cost of keeping my Mother in the wonderful facility we were lucky to find. Although this is a very overwhelming and stressful situation never once have I gone home and say, “Is this the right thing to do? Am I making the right decision?” Between Brandon and the Patient Advocate I know that not only is my Mother in a highly-rated and competent facility but I also know that her finances and estate are taken care appropriately and responsibly. He treats my Mother with respect, like he would his own family. Brandon is an incredible person AND attorney. I would highly recommend him.
