Colby P. Connell, Esq., is a South Georgia native and earned his Bachelors in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Business Systems and Accounting, from the University of Georgia. Upon graduating, Colby took a position in accounting before deciding to attend Stetson University of Law in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

While in law school, Colby was a competing member of the nation’s Number 1 Trial Team. During that time he won multiple state competitions, including numerous individual awards for his advocacy skills and went on to win the National Civil Trial Competition held in Los Angeles, California, where he was named the competition’s overall Best Advocate, outperforming advocates from across the nation. Upon graduating from Stetson, he received many merit and advocacy based honors and awards.

Colby began his legal career clerking at one of the state’s most prestigious Medical Malpractice Firms. In his time there, Colby became familiar with many complex medical injuries and personal injury litigation, a knowledge base he continues to expand today.

From there Colby continued his legal career at a state wide personal injury firm representing clients and litigating all kinds of personal injury cases, while specializing in premise liability claims, before starting Connell Law in the Tampa area.

Connell Law now represents the injured in all kinds of personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Colby takes pride in fighting zealously for the injured throughout the state of Florida. His goal is to push cases for trial to ensure the injured are properly represented and personally handles every client's claim from start to finish.
