Mr. Schanker’s primary profession is that of a trial lawyer. His cases are spread throughout the nation, and he has tried different types of injury cases as the lead counsel in many federal and state courts all over America. With a focus on his home state of Colorado, he has litigated and tried cases stretching from Alaska to Florida; New York to California. He has experience with cases involving defective medical devices, pharmaceuticals, medical malpractice, civil sex assault, negligent security, and car accidents.
Darin has had great success in court, including achieving the largest medical malpractice jury verdict ever in Colorado history, and the largest compensatory defective hip jury verdict in America.
Aside from traditional personal injury litigation, Mr. Schanker is also an expert in collective action and mass tort litigation. He has extensive experience with dangerous drugs and products, handling many complex cases that have gained national attention. These medical devices and products have been known to cause injuries: Biomet Hip Implants, Pinnacle Hip Implants, ASR Hip Implants, Taxotere, Hernia Mesh and IVC Filters.
Darin Schanker was the past president of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) and, in 2003, he was named Outstanding Trial Attorney for the State of Colorado by said organization. The Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, founded in 1953, is the largest specialty bar association in the state.
