David C. Farrell attended Bates College on scholarship from 2005 – 2009, and graduated (i) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology, (ii) with a secondary concentration certificate in Japanese, and (iii) as a 4-year letterman of the Bates Bobcats varsity baseball team. David took a job in Boston as a chemist - collaborating regularly on projects with prestigious institutions including Tufts Dental School, Harvard Medical School and Boston University. David earned his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law from 2011-2014, passed the bar exam and was hired in 2015 by a medium-sized law firm in Salem, Massachusetts, where he was thrown into court immediately on claims ranging from relatively "simple" tort and contract disputes to multi-party subrogation actions and complex business litigation. He is as comfortable arguing to the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals as he is in front of the Traffic Court because his early litigation experience also taught him about the many subtle yet crucial differences between state and federal law. After a few years, David broadened his experience with insurance companies as clients and subrogation actions by working at the Bridgewater, Massachusetts firm of Clark Balboni & Gildea – the exclusive subrogation agent in Massachusetts for Vermont Mutual Insurance Company. Dave joined the Cohen Law Group in 2017, where he broadened his practice to include real estate, divorce, civil rights, and criminal defense. David started his own Boston practice in 2019, representing individuals and businesses in a variety of capacities including consulting, quality assurance, transactional representation, and obviously civil and criminal litigation.
