Desiree Dominguez obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was placed on the Dean’s Honors List. Afterwards, she was offered a full-tuition merit scholarship to the Chapman University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree.
As an attorney, she volunteered with the Immigration Legal Assistance Project, where she prepared visa applications for low-income individuals. She also joined with the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking in seeking immigration benefits for victims of human trafficking. Even as a law student, she championed the cause of immigrants and successfully applied for a visa for an undocumented immigrant who was the victim of domestic violence. ?
Ms. Dominguez is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association Immigration Section.
