Ernest H. "Skip" Kohlmyer, III focuses his practice primarily on disputes and litigation relating to commercial and corporate transactions, commercial litigation including domestic antitrust and international competition, business transactions, and international commercial arbitration. Mr. Kohlmyer was named one of "Orlando's Attorneys of the Year 2021" in an article published by the Orlando Style Magazine.
He is a former partner of an international law firm concentrating on legal matters for German and Austrian citizens transacting business within the United States. Within the past ten years, he has earned two Master of Law Degrees (LL.M.) in international business transactions, global antitrust, and economics.
Mr. Kohlmyer is a highly experienced federal litigator in commercial disputes, commercial transactions, consumer protection statutes, and civil rights and constitutional law issues. For thirty years, he has served as lead counsel in landmark cases relating to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). He has represented creditor corporations, collection agencies, debt buyers, and credit reporting agencies. Many of his clients are national medical billing and collection entities. He has presented seminars to numerous trade associations and professional organizations such as the Florida Bar, the Federal Bar Association, Lorman Education, the National Business Institute, and MyLawCLE.

Mr. Kohlmyer is a licensed practicing attorney in the federal and state courts in Florida, Georgia, New York, Montana, and Utah. He is also awaiting admission to practice in Wyoming. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the United States Court of International Trade.?
He is a long-standing member of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA International),
serving in leadership positions and speaking regularly at industry and continuing legal education conferences.
