Garrett R. Chase is an attorney in Shumway Van’s Las Vegas office. Mr. Chase’s practice focuses primarily on commercial lien and real estate litigation, as well as appeals. Mr. Chase attended the William Boyd School of Law, UNLV. where he received a full tuition scholarship, numerous awards for written and oral advocacy as a member of the school’s traveling moot court team, and a CALI award for excellence for Opening Statement and Closing Arguments. Additionally, Mr. Chase authored an academic note on the History of the Black Lives Matter movement, which was selected for publication by the Nevada Law Journal. Mr. Chase is licensed to practice in Nevada state and federal courts, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. When not in court or at his office, Mr. Chase enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, exploring the outdoors, reading, watching old films, and music.
