Hello, my name is George Long. My family has lived in Romulus Michigan for at least three generations. I have been employed at Ford Motor Company for over thirty years. I have six children. On New Year?s Eve of 2005 my youngest son Journy was born with Downs Syndrome. I served and am a veteran of the United States Army. I have competed as a bodybuilder at the national level, and represented the State of Michigan as Mr. Natural Michigan in 2003. I majored in Pre-Law Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix and completed my law degree at Western Michigan's Thomas Cooley Law School in 2014. My concentration was in solo and small firm. While at Western, I was awarded the Certificate of Merritt in Pre-Trial Skills and was on the Dean?s list many times. Since obtaining my license to practice in the great state of Michigan, I have successfully argued Family Law motions in Washtenaw, Oakland, Wayne and Lenawee counties. My law firm, G. Long Law, PLLC has successfully represented clients facing serious felony charges as well as successfully obtained expungements of felony convictions. My passion for the law and public service emanates from a strong desire to help people who arrive at the court of last resort solve their legal problems so that they may continue on with their everyday lives. The gratification I receive helping others navigate through the legal process is similar to the rush I experienced so many times after dieting and training for months for bodybuilding competitions. When you are properly prepared and use all of your skills to achieve a verdict that is just and proper and that verdict is in your favor, the adrenaline rush is euphoric and enduring.
