James E. Kuhn Appellate Law

Mr. Kuhn has more than 45 years of law experience. Mr. Kuhn earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Loyola Law School in 1973 and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1973. He was also admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1978 and the Colorado State Bar in 1995. He practiced law for 18 years privately and then became a State Prosecutor for 17 years. James E. Kuhn was then elected to become Louisiana's 21st Judicial District Court in 1990 and was there until his term on the First Circuit Appeals Court of Louisiana, to which he was elected in 1994. Further, he was a member of the Louisiana Board of Pardons and Prole, State of Louisiana from January 2016 to January 2018.
