J. Taylor Shaw joined FSSV as an Associate in May 2019. Mr. Shaw assists in representing business entities and individuals in a variety of matters including non-subscriber employer defense, commercial disputes, personal injury, and insurance-related matters. Prior to joining FSSV, Mr. Shaw primarily practiced commercial litigation, though Mr. Shaw also handled a wide range of corporate and transactional matters during the first year of his practice. Mr. Shaw received his J.D. in May 2017 from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, which he attended as a Dean’s Scholarship recipient. During law school, Mr. Shaw served as an Articles Editor and Staff Editor for the SMU Science & Technology Law Review. Mr. Shaw received his B.G.S., with a focus in History and Afro-American and African Studies, in May 2014 from the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the Order of Omega honors fraternity. Mr. Shaw has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since November 2017 and in the District of Columbia since May 2019.
