Mr. Gazewood is the founder and managing partner of Gazewood and Weiner PC, a general law practice which has two locations in Alaska – Fairbanks and Anchorage. Mr. Gazewod primarily focuses on practicing bankruptcy, criminal law and personal injury law. Mr. Gazewood earned his Doctor of Law at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 2002. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gazewood earned a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. After law school, Mr. Gazewood relocated to Alaska and became a prosecutor in the Fairbanks district attorney’s office. Then, he moved on to work as a partner at Levengood & Gazewood PC where he worked for three years prior to starting Gazewood and Weiner PC. Mr. Gazewood is also a debt relief agent and is able to help people file for bankruptcy relief under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. In addition to being recognized for excellence in the practice of law by Lawyers of Distinction, Mr. Gazewood’s other professional associations/memberships include Tanana Valley Bar Association (former president and vice president), board of directors of the Midnight Sun Run and Fairbanks Counselling & Adoption). Furthermore, Mr. Gazewood received his Master of Laws (LLM, Taxation) from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2020.
