Jill Pogach Michaels graduated with Honors from The George Washington School of Law in DC. Ms. Michaels is licensed to practice law in Maryland, DC, and the US District Court of Maryland. She conducts residential and commercial settlements in MD, DC & VA. In June 2007, she pioneered the practice of loss mitigation for homeowners and has successfully negotiated countless short sales throughout the DC Metropolitan region.In 2016, Ms. Michaels received the Client Distinction Award and was recognized as one of the Top Lawyers in Maryland for highest in ethical standards and professional excellence in 2013, 2015 and 2016. Ms. Michaels teaches continuing education for lawyers on real estate, loss mitigation and foreclosure defense for the Maryland and County Bar Associations. Most, she taught a joint Family Law and Real Property Sections course on loss mitigation. Ms. Michaels most recently was published in the July 2013 issue of the Maryland Bar Journal for an article entitled, “2013: Practical Implications of Short Sales and Loss Mitigation.” In 2013, she was honored with serving as a panelist for the Montgomery County Housing Opportunity Commission.
