Jonathan K. Pollack has been a partner at Beldock Levine & Hoffman LLP since 2002. His practice areas are domestic relations, estate planning, entertainment law and taxation. He has represented clients in these areas of practice in negotiated, contested and uncontested matters in Supreme, Family, Appellate, and Surrogate’s Courts, and before the Internal Revenue Service. He has done so for a period of 30-plus years in many of these practice areas, with a particular focus on business, estate and tax planning matters since obtaining his L.L.M. in Taxation Law in 2014.
In his representation of clients in these diverse practice areas, Jonathan provides attentive and caring representation, as well as strong advocacy and negotiation skills, which combine to achieve favorable outcomes. He has extensive experience in all aspects of conflict resolution, including not just litigation services, but also alternative dispute resolution utilizing such methodologies as mediation, arbitration and collaborative law.
His practice includes drafting marital agreements, such as separation, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts and advance directives, conducting probate and administration of estates, implementing business and estate plans, reviewing and drafting business contracts and formation documents, and representing clients in entertainment law matters.
In these areas of specialization, Jonathan regularly confronts and resolves such legal and financial issues as equitable distribution of marital property, custody and visitation of children, complex valuations and forensic analysis in divorce and estate matters, interpretation of business contracts, support of families, and various aspects of taxation law, including review and support in filing of estate tax, individual, and corporate and partnership income tax returns, and preparation of related tax filings.
