Joshua O. Dorcey is an Estate Planning and Transactional Services lawyer in Fort Myers, Florida. He founded the Dorcey Law Firm in 2007, and serves as the Managing Partner. Mr. Dorcey has more than 13 years experience in estate planning including: asset protection, Florida probate, business planning, and small business litigation. Mr. Dorcey received a bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham Alabama, and then went on to graduate from Liberty University School of Law where he received his J.D. degree. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007 and was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 2009. Prior to opening his own practice, Mr. Dorcey practiced law for another local law firm working in Real Estate and Business Litigation. The experience he gained with that firm helped create the vision to launch his own estate planning firm. Mr. Dorcey is a member of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section, Will, Trust and Estate Planning Section and Tax Section. He is also a member of the Floria Bar’s Business Law Section, Real Property and Probate Section, and the Wills, Trust, and Estate Planning Section. He is a native of Fort Myers with roots that go back to 1913 and is an active member of the Fort Myers Rotary Club where he serves as the Fellow Chair and Assistant Treasurer. In addition, Mr. Dorcey is also a member of the Florida Business Bureau.
