KJ received her juris doctorate from Arizona State University in May of 2004 with a Certificate in Law, Science, and Technology: Intellectual Property, the Dean's Award of Recognition, and the Highest Pro Bono Distinction.After graduation, Kari worked as a member of the ASU College of Law's administrative staff, building from her previous local knowledge and institutional memory to develop stronger relationships between the law students and the community and tackling the practical execution of coordinating two new LL.M. and one new M.L.S. degree programs. In her spare time, KJ competed at the elite level in the sport of archery. She has been a member of the USA Archery Team and has represented the US at two World Championship events. Since 2008, Kari has been named twice as USA Archery's "Shenk Award" winner (highest combined score from US Indoor, Field, and Target Nationals). Kari also coaches the revived ASU archery team, is the former Chairman of the College Archery Program of USA Archery, and has been a member of the Arizona State Archery Association Board of Directors.
