KIERAN J. CONLON is a founding partner of the firm. Mr. Conlon’s areas of practice include complex construction and other catastrophic injury litigation from inception through trial, as well as, employment contract disputes, commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Conlon has also acted as personal counsel to corporations and executives in the construction, finance and service industry. Mr. Conlon began his legal career at a mid-sized insurance defense firm where he handled cases varying from accounting and nursing malpractice to defending school districts and supermarkets located in New York City, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange and Sullivan Counties. Mr. Conlon was also responsible for numerous complex construction cases. Mr. Conlon later joined a small boutique firm in Manhattan where he specialized in catastrophic loss litigation, handling various complex product liability, medical malpractice and labor law matters from inception through trial in New York and nationally. Mr. Conlon was born in Dublin, Ireland. His family immigrated to New York when he was a young boy and he grew up in Queens, New York. He graduated from Villanova University with a degree in accounting and received his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Conlon is a former member of the International Brotherhood of Glaziers - Local 1087, and is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Brehon Law Society and the Long Island City Lawyers Club. He has served on numerous judicial screening panels, including the 2011, 2014 and 2017 Independent Judicial Screening Panel for the New York Supreme Court and Civil Court. Mr. Conlon has also served on the Executive Board of the Emerald Isle Immigration Center; a community based non-profit organization providing legal and other social services. Over the years, Mr. Conlon has been involved in and handled numerous complex catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) cases resulting from construction and motor vehicle accidents and has been involved in complex litigation involving aviation, power line exposure, vehicle and other product liability and premises defect cases. He has also handled numerous investment and employer disputes, as well as, other commercial litigation. Cases of interest include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade accident and Liberty Helicopter crash.
