Kristina B. Pett (Tina) concentrates her litigation practice in the area of life, health and disability insurance, including ERISA and state law breach of contract and bad faith claims. Tina also handles matters involving insurance fraud, unfair and deceptive trade practice claims and agent issues. In addition, Tina has extensive experience in toxic torts, product liability, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and other complex commercial litigation. Moreover, Tina has significant trial, appellate and alternative dispute resolution experience in all of the areas described above and is an AV-rated attorney[1] and has a preeminent 5.0 out of 5 client review rating. Tina is a frequent lecturer and has authored numerous publications on a variety of topics including ERISA, and life, health and disability insurance and Title VII related issues. Ms. Pett is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar and a member of the Life, Health & Disability Committee of the Defense Research Institute and served on the DRI’s Women in the Law Publication subcommittee. She has served as a regional editor for The Job Description. Ms. Pett has also been recognized with an Extraordinary Service Award by one of her Fortune 500 clients. Tina is a cum laude graduate of Temple University School of Law. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree from the George Washington University. She is a member of the Florida and Pennsylvania Bars and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, Western District of Pennsylvania, Northern District of Texas and Western District of Oklahoma. Tina was previously senior counsel in the Labor and Employment Department at Proskauer Rose LLP and a senior associate in the litigation department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.
