Laura is one of the top attorneys in family law litigation. Her practice focuses on all areas of family law. Her cases extend across the State of Tennessee. She also represents clients who live out of state but have matters pending in Tennessee. Laura is experienced in appellate work. She handles appeals before the Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court and serves as a consultant to other attorneys in their appellate litigation.
Laura is a Rule 31 Listed Family Law Mediator and is trained in the Collaborative Process. In her mediation and collaborative practice, she uses her trial experience and experience with complex family law litigation to help parties reach settlements without litigation which is particularly beneficial to families with children.
Laura is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, Memphis Collaborative Alliance, National LGBT Bar Association, Family Law Institute, and the American Bar Association. She lectures on family law issues and volunteers her time with bar associations and non-profit organizations.
Laura received her undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Memphis School of Law, where she was a member of Law Review and the national mock trial team. Laura obtained her L.L.M in Trial Advocacy from Stetson University School of Law.
