After graduating from UCLA School of Nursing, 1975, I quickly realized that the healthcare field is filled with many opportunistic individuals seeking to profit off the hard work and dedication of our nurses, physicians, and hospitals. I decided to attend Southwestern School of Law and graduated in 1991. I worked an in-house counsel for Unihealth Corporation and collaborated with the top malpractice defense firms to defend both our nurses and our hospitals from non-meritorious litigation. I took time off to be with my young sons and I returned to practice law in the home health care area of heathcare law in 2009. I work as in-house counsel for Continuity Care Home Nurses and continue to be involved in nursing, most recently serving as President of the Oncology Nurses Society of Los Angeles in 2016. I work for an excellent corporation and my position as in-house counsel and Quality Assurance Director has been one of the most satisfying positions I have had in my lifetime.
