Lisa Caruso Criminal Defense Law

Lisa K. Caruso graduated in 1992 from the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Political Science and obtained her J.D. from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1995. She worked as Assistant Public Defender in the Louisville Jefferson District Public Defenders Office from 1996-1998 before going into private practice in 1998. After relocating to Virginia, she served as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Brunswick County as well as Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney in the City of Colonial Heights. Lisa then became the elected Commonwealth’s Attorney for the County of Dinwiddie. Lisa served on, then, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s Advisory Committee for Restoration of Voting Rights to Convicted Felons. She is a member of the VACDL, the Prince William Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar Association and the Kentucky State Bar Association. Lisa has been practicing law for 22 years, with her area of practice being exclusively criminal defense and related matters.
