Michael Ritter is a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Michael attended Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent School of Law, in Chicago. He transferred to the Cecil Humphries School of Law in Memphis, Tennessee for his second year of law school before settling in at the University of Tennessee, George Taylor School of Law, earning his J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1985. Michael has had extremely diverse experience throughout his legal career. Although excelling in both Personal Injury and Workers Compensation litigation, his primary focus and passion has always been Criminal Law and Civil Rights Litigation. Michael has tried many cases before a jury and has an amazing track record of success. His aggressive approach has proven successful both in and out of the court room. Michael has appealed and argued before the 6th Circuit United States Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio as well as arguing cases of first impression with citings in Tennessee Case Law.
