Long before Michael went to law school, he wanted to be a trial lawyer. He graduated from New York University School of Law in 1990 and began developing the skills to handle complex business and injury cases. Within a few years, Michael was working with a team of lawyers representing international investors that had lost millions of dollars as part of a large fraudulent scheme. Michael learned from that early experience that it takes perseverance and hard work to expose the truth and get to the heart of the matter. He tried his first case in 1992, a breach of contract case between a model and her agent. His client, the model, won the jury trial and Michael began a career-long respect of juries and the trial process. Michael has been trying lawsuits ever since, both with others and as lead counsel. He has been lead trial counsel in dozens of cases and has appeared in state courts, federal courts and arbitration panels. Michael is sought out by both plaintiffs and defendants. He represented a biotechnology company that brought suit against an industry giant over a failed collaboration to develop his client?s drug. He defended a foreign government in an international arbitration that was conducted in three languages. In securities litigation, Michael has represented brokerage firms, financial advisors and investors for more than 20 years. During Hurricane Ike, Michael handled hundreds of cases involving damage to residential and commercial property. He has represented clients in divers matters including disputes with developers, fraud in real estate investments, medical malpractice, personal injury, business and other disputes. He has represented judges and elected officials. Michael builds personal relationships with his clients that foster open communication and trust. Michael?s clients can expect to see an attorney who is responsive, creative and truly wants to make a difference.
