Michelle Cox Family and Divorce Law

Michelle began practicing law in Evansville and the surrounding counties in 1992. She has an extensive background in civil litigation matters, including personal injury and wrongful death claims, construction defect, and family law matters. Her family law practice includes high asset divorces with business valuations and other complicated financial matters. Michelle is a registered domestic relations mediator and mediates family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and paternity disputes. She is the founding Chair of the Women in Law Committee of the Evansville Bar Association, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Evansville Bar Association, and active member. She has been a guest speaker at the University of Southern Indiana on child abuse and neglect matters and has been published by the Indiana Lawyer. Michelle is actively involved in professional family law organizations at the state and local level and presents at continuing legal educations seminars in the area of family law. Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, where she graduated with honors and received the Who’s Who Amongst Colleges and Universities Award. She graduated at the top of her law school class at the Claude Pettit College of Law in Ohio. She was an associate editor of the Ohio Northern University Law Review where her case note was published. She was privileged to clerk for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
