Peter C. Merani is the founding member of the Law Offices of Peter C. Merani P.C. He founded the firm in 1993. His practice concentration includes case management and trial practice. Mr. Merani has extensive trial experience in handling matters as no-fault litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, labor law, lead poising cases, general negligence, insurance coverage, insurance fraud, bad faith litigation and health care. Mr. Merani also has extensive experience in general litigation cases and debt collection. Mr. Merani regularly drafts policy and forms for major carriers and provides counsel concerning claim handling procedures. Additionally, he is highly experienced in evaluating coverage issues. Mr. Merani is the firm's managing principal attorney. Before founding the firm, he was a staff attorney for a large insurance company. Peter C. Merani was admitted to the practice of law in New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. He is admitted in the United States District Court of the Southern District and Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New York State and District of Columbia Bar Associations. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from St. John's University School of Law in 1992 and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the College of Business Administration at St. John's University in 1989. Mr. Merani has served as a lecturer for continued legal education programs in No-Fault Insurance Law. He has also conducted seminars for insurance companies in the area of No-Fault Insurance Law. Mr. Merani has served as a program teacher and coordinator for the Street Law Trial Program.
