Robert is an outgoing and accomplished business lawyer with broad-based experience and in-depth legal knowledge across a wide range of legal practice areas, including business, estate planning, and probate law. He is a strategic counselor and trusted advisor, with high emotional intelligence, strong communication skills and passion for client engagement; a highly resourceful creative thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; and a zealous advocate with the ability to understand and address difficult challenges and achieve strategic goals. The Wall Street Journal has quoted Robert as a legal authority. Before establishing Arkin.Law, Robert was a partner in Leonard, Street and Deinard (now Stinson Leonard Street, rated 126 in the 2016 AMLAW rankings) and Minkin & Snyder (now Greenberg Traurig, ranked 10 in the 2016 AMLAW rankings). Robert was also a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Minnesota where he gained substantial experience thinking on his feet as the lead attorney in 31 trials in courtrooms throughout the State. Robert gained substantial business experience as the founder, president and general counsel of Sensiotec Inc., a leading innovator in biosensor and digital health technology. Under Robert’s leadership, Sensiotec received several awards from the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Technology Association of Georgia, the Southeastern Software Association, the National Hospital Readmissions Prevention Collaborative, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. These include the Phoenix Award for Start-up of the Year, the Impact Award for Emerging Mega Trends, the “Best of the Best” Top 10 Innovation Award, and the Healthcare Heroes Award for Innovation. At law school, Robert was elected a staff member and Executive Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law. After law school graduation, he had the honor to work with the Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court as his law clerk.
