Robert B. Baker, Esq., is an experienced civil trial attorney who has achieved multiple 7 and 8 figure jury verdicts on behalf of his clients. Over his 30 year career he has recovered in excess of 500 Million Dollars. Two of his noteworthy trials were aired nationally on Court TV Network. He specializes in catastrophic personal injury cases involving wrongful death, boating/cruise ship accidents, jet ski accidents, burn injuries, product liability, and serious automobile accidents.

Robbie has earned Florida Bar Board Certification in Civil Trial Law, the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar for the competency and experience of a civil trial lawyer. Less than 1% of all Florida attorneys are Board Certified by the Florida Bar Association.

Robbie began his career as a prosecutor working as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, New York. In 1991, he went to work as an associate with Decof & Grimm in Providence, Rhode Island. From 1992-1993, he served as Rhode Island State Liaison Council for Multi-District Breast Implant Litigation. Later In 1993, he became the founding member and managing partner of Baker & Zimmerman. In 2001, Robbie argued the case of Lamz v. Geico, 748 So. 2nd 319, before the Florida Supreme Court. He won this appeal which changed the landscape of Florida uninsured/underinsured motor vehicle laws.

In 2011, Mr. Baker won a $39 Million Dollar jury verdict against Yamaha Motor Corp. USA, in a WaveRunner collision (off-throttle steering defect). The Daily Business Review awarded Mr. Baker “Most Effective Lawyer” in South Florida in 2011.

In 2019, Mr. Baker founded the law firm Baker Legal Team to better serve victims of corporate malfeasance in Mass Tort litigation including Truvada, Zantac, Roundup, 3M earplugs and Camp Lejeune.

Robbie earned his B.A. from Ithaca College in 1986 and his law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1989. He successfully passed four State Bar Examinations on the first try including Florida (1993), New York (1989), Massachusetts (1992), and Rhode Island (1990).

He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Lawyers of Distinction, and the Florida Bar.
