Ryan Hobbs Labor Law

Ryan B. Hobbs joined BLBFG in November 2014 and became a Partner in the firm in November 2015. Recognized by the Florida Super Lawyers publication as a Rising Star in the category of Business Litigation in 2012, 2013, and 2014, Mr. Hobbs represents individuals and entities in litigated matters throughout the State of Florida. This year he has been named in the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Advocates and appointed to the Labor & Employment Division Subcommittee Concerning FLSA Procedures with the Florida Bar. Mr. Hobbs has focused much of his practice in the area of labor and employment lawand in this area represents both employees who have been discriminated against or wrongfully terminated, as well as employers who have been accused of discriminating against current or former employees. Mr. Hobbs has litigated hundreds of cases in both State and Federal Court involving all types of employment discrimination including race, gender/sexual harassment, disability, national origin, religion, retaliation, unpaid overtime, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Mr. Hobbs received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Florida State University in 2004, Summa Cum Laude, and earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2007. While in law school, Mr. Hobbs was a Dean’s Fellow, and also clerked at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for Judge James A. Wynn, who is now a federal appellate court judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
