Attorney Salesia V. Smith-Gordon is the founder of the law firm which bears her name. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Science in 1989. Deciding to follow her mother?s footsteps by becoming a 2nd generation lawyer, Salesia earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 1992 then opened her law practice in 1993. Although Salesia has handled an array of cases on both the state and federal court levels, her boutique law firm concentrates in the area of personal injury and wrongful death litigation. On behalf of clients injured by the careless wrongdoing of people and businesses, Salesia has successfully secured fair and just awards including million-dollar verdict and settlements. Her aim is to help her clients and protect the rights of Florida?s citizens by helping to giving a fair chance to seek justice in our courts and having those that caused harm take responsibility for their actions. Appointed by the joint bar associations in Palm Beach County, Salesia is the first African American female to serve as a Commissioner on the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics and on the Palm Beach County Inspector General?s Committee, on which she was voted presiding Chair. Salesia had served as Chair of the Florida Bar?s Grievance Committee- Div. D and as President of the Cunningham Bar Association. Her civic activities and philanthropic contributions demonstrate her commitment to her community, particularly towards service and education to African American students ranging from elementary to pharmacy and law school. She and husband Lawrence Gordon independently and through organizations such as The Links, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Street Beat, Inc., Palm Beach County Urban League and Greater Bethel Primitive Baptist Church are stewards of their time and resources. As a registered pharmacist and lawyer, Salesia maintains active memberships in both pharmacy and legal organizations, including: National Bar Assoc. (NBA) ? Life member; American Bar Assoc. (ABA); Florida Justice Assoc. (FJA); Cunningham Bar ? Past Pres.; Palm Beach County Bar; Florida Pharmacy Association (FPA); Diamondback (FAMU) Pharmacy Alumni Council; and American Society for Pharmacy Law (ASPL). Attorney Salesia V. Smith-Gordon has earned bar admissions to the Florida Supreme Court (Florida Bar); Federal Courts in the Southern, Middle & Northern Districts of Florida; the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals; and the United States Supreme Court.
