Salim F. Sabbagh is a founding partner of Sabbagh Thapar, LLC. Salim’s practice is focused solely on representing the injured. Salim specializes in seeking justice for those harmed in motor vehicle crashes, slip and fall incidents, dog bites/attacks, and other serious personal injury accidents.
As a trial lawyer in both New Jersey and New York, Salim has obtained multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients. Salim’s success in and out of the courtroom has earned him life membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an honor limited only to attorneys who have won million and multi-million-dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements. Less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members of this prestigious group.
Salim has been consistently recognized as a top attorney in his field. Salim is nationally ranked as a “Top 10 Under 40 attorney” by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys for 2023, along with being named as a Rising Star by New Jersey Super Lawyers, who named him a Rising Star for 2021-2024. Rising Stars is a recognition of the top up-and-coming attorneys. Each year, less than 3 percent of the lawyers in New Jersey are selected by Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Salim was also named to the 2021-2024 editions of Ones to Watch, a program sponsored by The Best Lawyers in America©, designed to recognize younger attorneys for their outstanding professional excellence in private practice. Salim has also been named New Jersey’s Best Lawyers for Families by New Jersey Family in both 2020 and 2021. Salim also was recognized as a winner of one of the Top 10 personal injury verdicts in New Jersey in 2017 by TopVerdict.
Salim dedicates his time outside of the office to the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ), an organization dedicated to protecting the citizens of New Jersey by fighting to preserve and strengthen the laws for safer products and workplaces, a cleaner environment, quality healthcare, and other issues related to protecting citizens’ rights. Salim is not only a member of NJAJ, but he has also been appointed to their Board of Governors, and holds positions on the Minority Trial Lawyers committee. Salim is a frequent speaker at NJAJ events, providing insight into the law to fellow attorneys across the state.
Prior to opening Sabbagh Thapar, Salim worked at a prominent New Jersey law firm, which was consistently ranked as one of the “Best Law Firms” in the state by U.S. News. Salim has also served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Susan J. Steele, Civil Division, in Bergen County Superior Court, and to the Hon. Kathleen A. Sheedy, Family Division, in Monmouth County Superior Court.
