Scott attended Arkansas State University and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. From there he attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville graduating in 1985 and immediately passed the Arkansas bar. From there Scott served in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Judge Advocate from 1985 to 1988 when he joined the Mashburn & Taylor Law Frim (now known as Taylor Law Partners) where he has been since October 1988. From November 1990 to May 1991 Scott was recalled to active duty to serve as an infantry platoon commander in Desert Storm. Scott is admitted to practice in Arkansas, all Federal Courts in Arkansas and at the appellate level including the United States Supreme Court. In December 1999 Scott became a certified mediator in domestic relations and has conducted hundreds of mediations since that time while continuing to practice full time focused primarily in family law.
