Area of Practice: Education Law
Sheilah Vance, Esq. has a BA in Communications from Howard University and a JD from Georgetown University. She serves as trusted legal counsel in education law, probate and estates, employment discrimination, small business, and publishing law, among other areas. Vance has been a cabinet-level administrator at several higher education institutions nationwide, such as Villanova University, University of the District of Columbia, Stockton University (NJ), Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, as a full-time and interim employee and legal counsel, assisting institutions that need her expertise. She has conducted numerous investigations, drafted and implemented policy, trained and educated employees and students, and managed university-wide compliance programs, particularly in Title IX, ADA/504, and the full range of protected classes, for postsecondary and K-12 institutions, and individuals. She received numerous awards for her work. She is on the Clery Center and ATIXA Advisory Boards.
