Ok, I read this other review after I had hired on Steve as my attorney and have to say, it caused me great concern. As a little background, my wife and I were going through mediation and it didn't seem that it was resulting in a fair split, so I decided to seek counsel. During our initial FREE meeting, (most lawyers charge for this consultation), I got to talk with Steve and really get to know him. He created a plan of attack and seemed quite knowledgeable about the law as he would say, based on such and such a case we can do this or that. Needless to say I felt great after the meeting and like I was done bending over and taking it in mediation! (Not that I can't go back to meditation, Steve just felt we should have most of the things hammered out before mediation and where there are differences, then we mediate on those at that time.) Anyways, I brought this review up to them and they helped to allay my fears and recommended I do what my heart and gut tells me and if I didn't feel comfortable with Steve, no hard feelings and they would refund my money. I am so appreciative of the time and energy they spent to help make me feel that Steve was the right fit that I felt compelled to write here to counteract the negative review that caused me great pause. My suggestion is to meet with Steve and see how you fit. Needless to say I'll report back after the divorce is finalized. Feel free to contact me.

Being a family law firm is hard. Divorce and custody issues are always fraught and no one walks away happy. Its easy to feel sour about your attorney as a result. But if you want a law firm that cares about you and your case, and tries their best to do the right thing by you, the Ruben Law Firm is a great choice. They have been in this business a very long time, and experience counts. And they are good people. Steve Ruben knows his stuff and you should not hesitate to seek his advice. I speak from personal experience as a client.
