Prior to law school, Steven spent fourteen years as a systems engineer for IBM’s Federal Sector Division, Computer Technology Associates (CTA), and Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) working with various government organizations, including NASA, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of the Army, and the United States Coast Guard. Prior to his work as a Systems Engineer, Steven spent seven years in the United States Navy in training and as an electronics technician.
Prior to starting War IP Law PLLC, Steven was the practice chair for intellectual property litigation at McNeely, Hare & War LLP. During this time, he also wrote opinions, and obtained patents and trademarks for his clients.
Before his time at McNeely, Hare & War LLP, Steven worked at several national/international law firms, including Dickstein Shapiro LLP, Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, Fish & Richardson P.C., and Howrey & Simon. At those firms he worked on all aspects of intellectual property including opinions regarding freedom to operate, validity, infringement, and due diligence.
