Steve has over 24 years legal experience and holds both a Juris Doctorate and a Masters of Laws Degree. Throughout Steve’s 24 year career, he has worked as an attorney in an extremely large variety of legal areas. His experience includes but is not limited to: Estate Planning, Business Planning, Employee Benefits, Criminal Law, Personal Injury, Probate, Employment Law, Guardianship, Family Law as well as Appellate Law. In 2011, Steve’s prior law firm the Weinstein Law Firm merged practices with the Law Offices of Steven Bosteder to form Weinstein Bosteder, PC. This merger has enabled our attorneys to bring multiple areas of experience under one roof and has enabled the new firm to handle almost any legal matter. While in law school, he was Managing Editor of the Law Review and received the American Jurisprudence award for Estate Planning. Steve has spoken at numerous professional and client events and was appointed by the American Medical Association insurance company to speak at several AMA meetings throughout the country. At the request of the AMA, he spoke to large audiences of physicians in several cities on retirement planning and the large tax benefits of creating heavily funded retirement plans that would provide a physician with an extremely large retirement plan while at the same time providing the physician with a very large tax deduction. Prior to starting the Weinstein Law Firm; Steve worked as an in-house attorney for a large fortune 100 company, at a “big four” accounting firm, a boutique general practice law firm, the US Department of Treasury, and as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles District Attorney and Los Angeles City Attorney’s offices. Steve is also a member of both the Texas Bar and California bar and can handle cases anywhere in either state. Steve is also very involved with in the community and belongs to several professional and community groups. Steve holds an Amateur Extra ham radio license (N6SW) and works with several emergency organizations to provide assistance during local weather issues as well as any other emergency. He also volunteers with both Carrollton and Plano Police as part of their citizens on patrol organizations.
