Tanweer Ansari is EVP, Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel of The First National Bank of Long Island. Tan works with the Board of Directors, Management and all staff to ensure the Bank continues meet all legal and regulatory requirements while mitigating areas of risk concurrent with the Bank’s strategic plan. Tan received his J.D. from Hofstra University. his MBA from Adelphi University and received his Bachelor's from Union College. Tan also attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at The Wharton School. Tan serves on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Business Law Section and as President of the Long Island Banks Compliance Association. He also is a member of the American Bankers Association Risk & Compliance Board. a former Community Education Councilmember, taught financial literacy via the ABA Teach Children to Save Program and Junior Achievement, and served on the Adelphi University Business School Advisory Board.
