Theo Sereebutra has practiced law for over 13 years. He has practiced in the metro Atlanta area for approximately 10 years. With the exception of a short stint with an Atlanta civil litigation firm, he has spent most of his legal career handling criminal matters. Before becoming a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Sereebutra began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney. He worked as a prosecutor in the Waycross, Tallapoosa, and Paulding Judicial Circuits. He spent approximately 7 years working as a prosecutor where he tried everything from DUI cases to Murder trials. Mr. Sereebutra has extensive criminal trial experience. He has handled over 1,000 criminal cases, and has been lead trial attorney in more than 50 jury trials involving: murder, rape, child molestation, child cruelty, drug manufacturing, drug sales, drug possession, armed robbery, aggravated assault, theft, forgery, burglary, DUI and battery. Mr. Sereebutra has litigated countless bench trials, probation revocation hearings, bond hearings and juvenile matters. He also has substantial experience handling criminal appeals, and has successfully briefed and argued cases in the Georgia Court of Appeals. Since co-founding the law firm of Henrickson & Sereebutra, Mr. Sereebutra has focused on defending the rights of individuals charged with violations of the laws of this State. He has handled criminal matters all over the metro Atlanta area. Although his practice is primarily focused on criminal law, Mr. Sereebutra also handles a few select wrongful death, and personal injury cases. Mr. Sereebutra graduated from the University of the South in 1992, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then received his Juris Doctorate law degree from the Emory University School of Law in 1996.
