In 2019, Veronica founded the Law Offices of Veronica T. Barton to defend those accused of domestic violence. In today’s society, the chilling reality is that people can be convicted based solely on the accusation of someone else. False accusations are rampant. Even more alarming are restraining orders that are filed based on false allegations, where, without even being able to give their side of the story, someone can be kicked out of their house and unable to see their children, potentially for months at a time. In the era of “#metoo,” a false accusation has the potential to ruin someone’s life. Veronica has made it her mission to stop that from happening to her clients.
