He went on to graduate in Criminology from Fresno State University in 1995, and then earned his law degree from Empire Law School in 1999. He won his first ever jury trial in a Three Strikes case less than a year after becoming a lawyer. During the course of his career, Mr. Maher has tried over 100 jury trials. He has also argued numerous appeals, and filed countless Motions to Suppress as well as Writs of Mandate in the First District Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Many of his cases have even been profiled in the media. He is a true trial lawyer, passionate attorney, and relentless advocate for the criminally accused. Mr. Maher truly loves what he does and enjoys being an attorney because he is able to help others champion their cause during their time of need.
