Walat Aqrawi Personal Injury Law

Walat Aqrawi was born and raised in Texas. His parents migrated to the United States from Iraqi Kurdistan. Since his early childhood Mr. Aqrawi has seen and experienced the difficulty that his fellow Kurdish people have endured and suffered. Therefore, he was inspired to pursue a career in helping others. Mr. Aqrawi attended and graduated from Baptist University majoring in Biology and Chemistry aiming to become a Doctor. Later, Mr. Aqrawi discovered his persuasion and speech skills along with other leadership skills and talent, Mr. Aqrawi decided to change to the legal path to use his talents in helping others. Walat Aqrawi attended the Thurgood Marshall School of Law to pursue a Juris Doctor Degree. During his Law School, Mr. Aqrawi focused on immigration and international law along with personal injury. He has received a certificate from the Institute for International and Immigration Law. Mr. Aqrawi worked at the office of attorney Daniel Lee and assisted with Family and Immigration cases. He also received Personal Injury and litigation experience from the Law Office of Higdon Lawyers. Mr. Aqrawi is fluent in English, Kurdish (both dialects), Arabic and well versed in Persian and Turkish. He is very passionate of the Kurdish identity and the founder of the Kurdish American Foundation of Houston. He has been involved in the semi-autonomous Kurdish region since Gulf War I. He has traveled back to Kurdistan several times since and has been involved in a variety of business ventures and numerous humanitarian efforts. He has been involved in the Kurdish Community of Houston since 1990. Away from work Mr. Aqrawi enjoy spending time with his family. He is married and has two sons and one daughter.
