Bill Peterson is a native Minnesotan who has practiced law for over 50 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1969.

Mr. Peterson is admitted before the Courts of Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin and Federal District Courts of Minnesota and the District of Columbia, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is certified as a “Lawyer of Distinction” and is listed in “Who’s Who in American Law”. Mr. Peterson has served as a Lecturer for the Minnesota Continuing Legal Education on six occasions.

After graduation from law school, he served as an assistant to the Minnesota Attorney General for nine years. In 1978 he was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives where he served two terms. He established his law practice in Bloomington in 1978. Bill lives in Bloomington with his wife Ann. They have two grown children.
