Meagan K. Moodie is a prominent family law attorney and founding partner of Gebhardt Emerson Moodie Bonanno, LLC ("GEM Family Law"). In 2012, Meagan graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law, passed the Colorado Bar, and soon moved back to her hometown. She now lives in Denver with her husband, their son, and their rescue pups. Corey W. Moore is a transactional attorney with Otis & Bedingfield, LLC. His practice focuses on estate planning and business, as well as estate administration. His work calls for his involvement in planning transfers of significant wealth involving closely held or family-held businesses; planning to minimize the potential liability for gift and estate taxes; planning the sale or acquisition of a closely held or family-owned business and other general business counselling; and administering trusts and estates. Corey obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he focused on business and on estate planning. He also served as a fellow for Pepperdine’s Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law, where he counseled community members in developing and implementing business plans. Kelcey joined Garfield & Hecht in 2020 and became the firm’s Managing Shareholder on June 1, 2023. Kelcey’s practice focuses on real estate acquisitions and sales, small business transactions, and estate planning for business owners. Her clients include private land-owners, small businesses, and start-up companies. Her transactional work is informed by a strong background in litigation and business. Kelcey maintains the AV Preeminent Rating, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest possible rating for both ethical standards and legal ability. She was named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in the area of real estate in 2019, 2020, and 2021 (a recognition given to only 2.5% of attorneys in Colorado). Kelcey was a founding partner at Wood Nichols, LLC in Carbondale, Colorado. She previously litigated property disputes with the Simons Firm, LLP in New Mexico. M. Kent Olsen specializes in estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate and trust litigation, guardianships and conservatorships, advanced medical directives, individuals with disabilities, and elder law. Mr. Olsen is a member of the Colorado, Denver and American Bar Associations, as well as the Denver Estate Planning Council. As a long-term member of the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association, Mr. Olsen previously served as Chair of the Section, Chair of the Rules and Forms Committee, Column Editor for The Colorado Lawyer - Estate and Trust Forum, and Co-Chair of the Protective Proceedings Act Subcommittee; at this time, Mr. Olsen continues as a member of the Statutory Revisions Committee. Mr. Olsen was an appointed member of the Governor's Commission on Life and the Law. In addition to being a former instructor for paralegals and a member of the advisory board of Denver Career College, Mr. Olsen is a frequent author and lecturer on probate, estate litigation, disabilities planning, health care treatment, protective proceedings, legal ethics, and issues on aging.
