Family and Divorce Law

30 Broad Street, FL 37, New York, NY 10004

I am a life-long New Yorker with an Ivy League education and over twenty-four years of legal experience. The overwhelming majority of these varied experiences have been in matrimonial and family law practice. I began my legal career representing the City of New York as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York County Family Court, trying child abuse and neglect cases during the height of the crack era. After years of daily court appearances, I joined the elite Legal Counsel Unit of the New York City Administration of Children Services, where I represented New York City in class action lawsuits and civil rights actions related to child welfare issues in state and federal court. There, I was able to hone my skills in negotiation and legal writing related to the litigation. I diversified my legal experience by representing large institutional lenders and investors in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. This transactional experience has been invaluable in developing the appropriate financial outcome and legal strategy in complex matrimonial litigation, which often involve the disposition of real property interest.
