Since handling my own divorce over twenty years ago, I have devoted my practice to matrimonial and family law on Long Island, representing business owners, executives, teachers, police officers, doctors, attorneys, homemakers, union members, and firefighters. I have handled hundreds of divorce and family law cases, negotiating favorable settlements for most, and proceeding to trial when necessary, and have prevailed on numerous divorce, child support, and child custody appeals. I was born and raised on Long Island. I graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School, and earned my undergraduate degree, cum laude, in 1986 from SUNY Stony Brook. I attended Hofstra University School of Law, where I was editor of the Hofstra Environmental Law Digest, and earned my law degree in 1989. I was admitted to the New York Bar in 1990, and started my own practice in 1992.

Kristina B. Pett (Tina) concentrates her litigation practice in the area of life, health and disability insurance, including ERISA and state law breach of contract and bad faith claims. Tina is a frequent lecturer and has authored numerous publications on a variety of topics including ERISA, and life, health and disability insurance and Title VII related issues. Ms. Pett is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar and a member of the Life, Health & Disability Committee of the Defense Research Institute and served on the DRI’s Women in the Law Publication subcommittee. She has served as a regional editor for The Job Description. Ms. Pett has also been recognized with an Extraordinary Service Award by one of her Fortune 500 clients. Tina is a cum laude graduate of Temple University School of Law. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree from the George Washington University. She is a member of the Florida and Pennsylvania Bars and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, Western District of Pennsylvania, Northern District of Texas and Western District of Oklahoma. Prior to joining Edison McDowell & Hetherington, Ms. Pett was a founding member of 100% woman-owned firm, Pett Furman. Tina was previously senior counsel in the Labor and Employment Department at Proskauer Rose LLP and a senior associate in the litigation department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.

After 14 years of specializing in family law and divorce matters, Brandi Petterson has gained extensive, invaluable experience across all of the jurisdictions in the Denver Metro area, as well as several mountain counties, and both north and south of the Metro area. She has successfully litigated countless high-asset divorces and complex child custody matters.
