Most bankruptcy attorneys know the process from one side of the table. Dan Riggs has seen it from both. Before founding the Riggs Law Firm, Dan spent more than a decade as the senior attorney to a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee in Nevada — one of the most demanding and consequential roles in the federal bankruptcy system. That position placed Dan at the center of how Nevada's bankruptcy system actually works. He helped author the Nevada Plan Form — the standardized document that governs how Chapter 13 repayment plans are structured across the state. He was a driving force behind the establishment of the Nevada Mortgage Modification Program, which has helped countless homeowners restructure mortgage debt and save their homes through bankruptcy. He litigated bankruptcy appeals at the federal level and personally conducted thousands of 341 meetings of creditors — the same hearings his clients now walk into with him by their side.
